What We Do

Stone, Water and Green Things

Ground-up yard builds and the hard landscaping that holds them together.

LandscapingBackyard planting bed of red bark mulch with new shrubs and a young tree, flagstone stepping stones, and a low stone-faced wall along a weathered fence

Landscaping & Yard Design

Planting beds, mulch, stepping stones, lawn edges and the grading underneath — laid out so the yard still looks right in five years, not just on handover day.

Meet the Owner

Jade

Owner · JLS Outdoor Service LLC

JLS Outdoor Service is Jade’s company, run out of Ione and working across Amador County and the corridors around it. Jade quotes the work, is on the job while it happens, and is the person you call afterwards if something needs looking at. Eric is on the crew too, so there is a good chance you will meet both of them.

Most of what JLS does is heavy, fiddly, outdoor work — moving stone, setting flagstone so it does not rock underfoot, shaping a creek bed so the water runs where you want it, getting a wall plumb on a slope that would rather it was not. The shortcuts in this trade show up two winters later, so we do not take them.
